Independence University is a nonprofit university located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is a distance learning university which is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). It is a branch of Stevens-Henager College's Ogden/West Haven main campus. It has been providing distance education and online programs for more then 25 years and is one of the oldest distance educators in the nation. It is especially known for comprehensive healthcare programs. The schools offers more online healthcare degrees then any other private accredited college or university. It was the first university to offer accredited respiratory therapy programs at the distance learning.
